On behalf of Kanefusa, I am very grateful for the kindness that you showed us last year. I believe that you had wonderful moments with your family and friends during the holidays.

When you have a look at the world, the sub prime loan crisis started a year before and still lasts and has developed to a big world financial crisis. Continuously, last summer, American security houses were forced to go under, absorbed by a bank and the global situation became unthinkably bad. And this really affected the economy in general. In the car industry, even the Big Three face management difficulties and only the Yen become strong while other currencies collapsed. We have never experienced this rampant bad situation that all industries reduce production and the world business condition is in recession at the same time. A wave of once-a-century recession hits us without exception and decreased the number of orders received later than Oct. 2008.

Last year, we have celebrated our 60th anniversary which was the end of the traditional sexagenarian cycle. I feel as if we are tested to challenge tribulations with back-to-basics ethos at this memorial year.

I feel that 2009 will be the year of shake-outs of firms, which only the real strong companies will survive. It is definitely sure that Kanefusa will survive and develop even further with wisdom and effort from 1100 employees.

Under these difficult circumstances it is not surprising that we adopt a more serious position with a sense for the crisis in 2009. I decide myself to restructure Kanefusa that all of us keep this mind in ours hearts and share the successful experience in 2009.
